Technical Information
The Image Web Server is a sophisticated software package developed by Earth Resource Mapping. The software allows extremely high resolution images to be viewed over the internet by sending only the data needed to view the selected portion of an image. When the viewer zooms in, a new packet of data is sent.

The software must download a plug-in to your browser in order for the Image Web Server to function. It is downloaded automatically when you click the "Zoom In" icon.

Depending on your browser version on and configuration, you may have to give permission for the download to occur and you may have to reboot your computer.

Unfortunately, the plugin is not Macintosh compatible at this time.

On AOL, you must use version 5.0, or use Internet Explorer or Netscape as your browser. You must have Java enabled in your browser preferences. Update speeds depend on the speed of your connection.

Best results can be acheived using a high speed (cable modem or dsl) connection with recent version of Netscape or Internet Explorer running under Windows 98.
