Chuck Nicklin is an Emmy Award winning underwater cinematographer and photographer who lives and works in San Diego, California. He is truly one of the pioneers of underwater cinematography with over forty years of underwater work to his credit, including numerous feature films and documentaries.

Many of the images in Chuck's library were photographed in the 60s and 70s, during the devolpmental years of scuba diving. He co-founded The Diving Locker in San Diego in 1959, which has been instrumental in the education and training of sport divers for four decades. Together with Ron Church, Chuck started the Underwater Photographic Society in The Diving Locker's back room.

Chuck's cinematography credits include The Abyss, The Deep, Never Say Never, For Your Eyes Only, Love Is Forever, Gentle Giants of the Pacific, Behind the Scenes of The Abyss, Nomads of the Deep, and In the Company of Whales. He is still active in filmaking, and leads diving adventures to exciting destinations around the world.
