"Rose Anemone"

 No place on earth can possibly be more colorful and awe-inspiring than the rocky reef communities of temperate seas. Within this setting, no creature is more striking than this rose (also known as fish-eating) anemone. This specimen was photographed at California’s Channel Islands though they occur as far north as Alaska.
