"Arctocephalus townsendi"

Isla Guadalupe, Mexico. A small colony of rare Guadalupe fur seals resides near the north end of Guadalupe Island, rafting at the surface in the calm shallows. They are politely inquisitive of divers but only after a lengthy introduction; they are less gregarious than their cousins, the sea lions.
