As an avid surfer and underwater photographer, Peter Neubauer can most often be found either on top of or diving below the surface of the world’s oceans. Peter gets up close and personal with marine life, emphasizing macro work. His photographs exhibit rich saturated color and compelling composition.

In addition to his routine of diving in Southern California and numerous diving trips abroad, he was part of a three-man team that photographed and created an extreme resolution image of Little Cayman’s Bloody Bay Wall, featured in the October 2001 issue of National Geographic.
Peter Neubauer's interest in underwater photography began in 1984 shortly after becoming scuba certified. As an amateur photographer pursuing one of the world's most expensive hobbies, he has questioned his sanity more than once, spending small fortunes on expensive photo gear and dealing with the inevitable misfortunues of of travel-damaged equipment and flooded cameras. However, the sheer thrill of composing and capturing on film what he sees underwater is a huge motivation for Peter, and will undoubtedly keep him shooting for years to come.
