Robert has invested more than forty years photographing the magnificent coral reefs of the tropical Pacific. His publication credits include Discovery, Skin Diver and National Geographic, a cofee-table book, "Beneath the Philippine Seas", and exhibittions at Scripps Institute of Oceanography, Long Beach Aquarium and Monterey Bay Aquarium. were inexhaustible. Years of fishing with that mentality has proven them wrong. Today, it is clear to all that the fishing grounds have been depleted. And still, ecologically unsound fishing practices continue in some areas of the world - in particular, the practice of dynamite fishing on reefs in disregard of, or ignorance of the fact that coral reefs are the nurseries for future fish populations. Although Robert feels it may be too late to save many of the worlds reefs, he urges all of us to join him in promoting global marine conservation efforts.
