Like a sleek racecar, this Silky Shark, Carcharhinus falciformis, is built for speed. It's hydrodynamic form enables it to chase down fish in the offshore waters where it lives. This shark was photographed in the Bahamas near a submarine tender buoy that acts as a fish aggregating device.
